Details:
There are four options, explained below, that will enable you to add extra domains/web sites to your existing full package. Internally Redirected (IR) Domains use the allocated disk space, email accounts, and bandwidth from the main domain's account. If you have 400 MBs of web space available to you then you may split up this 400 MBs between the multiple domains any way you wish. There are some limitations with IR domains that you should be aware of even though they are minimal in comparison to the benefits. Click here to review these limitations prior to ordering.
The fee for IRMs and IROs is simply a one-time setup fee of $20 each. Although, you will also be responsible for purchasing the domain name, FutureQuest will not add any monthly service charges or extra fees whatsoever. Each time you would like to add an IRO or an IRM you only need to visit the order form and let us know. As long as the main account remains current and active on the FutureQuest servers, your Internally Redirected domains may remain with no extra fees whatsoever.

IRO's allow extra domains to show the exact same content as your main domain. When a visitor points their browser to
ExtraDomain.com they will see the exact same web site as they would have seen if they had pointed their browser to
MainDomain.com. This works great for those who have multiple domain names (like a .com, .net, & .org trio), for the same web
site, and want their vistitors to be able to access the site regardless of which domain name they use.
IROs not only overlay the web site itself but also the email accounts. If you have You@MainDomain.com and someone emails You@ExtraDomain.com you will be able to receive the email in your You@MainDomain.com or You@ExtraDomain.com account. Either will work fine it just depends on which you prefer to use. You will also be able to send email from either ExtraDomain.com or MainDomain.com just the same. This will work for all of the email accounts you set up with your main domain name and be transparent to those sending/receiving email to/from you (this is true for POP3 accounts and Aliases). Also note that each domain, whether full package or an IR, includes its own individual MX Records so you may change the MX handling of one of the domains while leaving the other one alone. This is great for those who enjoy the services offered by providers such as Everyone.net or BigMailBox.com.

FutureQuest enjoys the benefits of IROs on our own web site! For an example visit FeatureQuest.net or Future-Quest.net. Both of these domain names are overlaying our main domain FutureQuest.net. (note: we have the email functionality turned off on the extra domains for administrative reasons)

A DS-IRO is a Subdomain that works like an IRO. For example, you might want http://home.example.com/ to work just like http://www.example.com/.
These work much like the IROs explained above, except that you do not need to purchase a domain name and email must be in the format of something@example.com as something@home.example.com would not work.

IRMs allow you to host totally separate web sites, each having their own domain name, under the same account! When someone visits YourOtherDomain.com, they will be shown the contents of YourMainDomain.com/ExtraDomain/. The IRM directory ("ExtraDomain" in our example) functions for YourOtherDomain.com just like the /www/ directory does for YourMainDomain.com.
This would be transparent to the visitor. When the visitor points their browser to ExtraDomain.com they will not see that they have been redirected. It will look and function the same for the visitor just as if they had gone to a domain that has its own full package!

IRMs also overlay the email accounts like the IROs do. Allowing you to give the ExtraDomain.com account its own email address for sending/receiving email (this is true for POP3 accounts and Aliases). Also note that each domain, whether full package or an IR, includes its own individual MX Records so you may change the MX handling of one of the domains while leaving the other one alone. This is great for those who enjoy the services offered by providers such as Everyone.net or BigMailBox.com.

A DS-IRM is a Subdomain that works like an IRM. For example, you might want to set up a separate section of your site called http://links.example.com/, which would actually point to http://www.example.com/links/.
These work just like the IRM option explained above, except that you do not need to purchase a domain name and email must still be in the format of something@example.com as something@links.example.com would not work..

A DS-ER is a Subdomain that works like an ER (External Redirection). For example, you might want to set up a subdomain of "external" (http://external.example.com/) which points to an IP address not located on the FutureQuest network.
The destination of the DS-ER has to be either an IP address, or a hostname (example: 192.168.0.1 or mail.example.com).

There are some restrictions with Internally Redirected domains however they are minimal in comparison to the benefits. Below is a list of items you will want to be aware of. If any of the following features are needed you may want to consider a full package for the account rather than an IR option.
You may have a maximum of 10 IROs set up over your main account. DS-IROs count toward this limit as well. You may have a maximum of 5 IRMs set up over your main account. DS-IRMs count toward this limit. This allows for up to 15 extra domain names total to be shared by each single full package!
IRs may not be suitable if:
The domain requires MySQL usage and you already have an IRM using MySQL. Only a primary full account that is a Visionary Package or above, as well as its IROs, DS-IROs, and DS-IRMs, are permitted to use the MySQL servers. Additionally, one IRM can be selected to have MySQL access. This selection is done via the MySQL Account Manager in the CNC. Other IRMs overlaying the aforementioned packages are not permitted to use MySQL Services, even if externally provided.
The domain requires individual Autoresponders. These will only respond from the full package domain name that the IR overlays.
The domain requires ezmlm functionality. The pre-installed mailing list software will only work with full packages.
The domain requires its own individual IP address. IRs share the same IP address as the full package the IR overlays.
Also note:
If FTP access is required, without providing the main account's username/password, an extra FTP account would need to be set up. All Full Packages that IRs may overlay include at least 2 extra FTP accounts free of charge. If you need more extra FTP accounts than your full package includes, you may purchase additional extra FTP accounts for $5/month per each addition.
Individual CNC, Stats or SSH access is not available for IRs. These are only available to the full package. However, you may access the IRs via the full package's CNC and SSH login. The provided stats will calculate all pages as if they are in the full package. Naming the files wisely will allow you to see statistical information for the IR but separate stats are not available.
